Weirdo alert

Today, while running, a man ran up next to me and started jogging with me. He asked if he could run with me and I said yes. Later, when I told him I was going home, he followed me home. When I asked him to leave, he sat down on my lawn in protest. He has been there for over 4 hours. FML

Turn on the sprinklers/hose. Or get a dog to chase him off. or get the police to haul him off, whichever's the most amusing.

Call the police, if he's on your lawn it's trespassing. Who knows what else someone that mentally unstable will do once he thinks you're asleep.

I would have already called the cops. **** that stalker BS.

Why would you lead him right to your own house?

I'd walk PAST my house if I realized the creeper was still following me, not right up to it. I'd go to a store or somewhere else with people in it for safety, or a police station if it were close enough, & he really creeped me out. Scratch that, I'd run to one. Win win, you'd get in more exercise ;)

She probably wasn't expecting him to turn into a creep and not leave. Still, I agree that she should have gone to a public place when she realized he was following her.

Going to your own home is considered the stupidest thing to do when you have a stalker. You will get a false sense of safety and he will figure out some way to get to you if he wants.

It's too late, he already knows where you live. Now you have to fake your death and go into hiding in South America.

Omg OP, call the police! He can't just trespass on your property like that. Plus, he's being a creeper :/ He probably needs help and by help I mean mental help.

He must've thought he was going to get some goodies. After basically denying this man of said "goodies", he resorted to the childish tactic of sitting there until he gets what he wants. Unfortunate for him, that doesn't work anymore when you're a full grown adult.

An occasion for mace or pepper spray...

I'd say calling the police is your best bet here

Give him the mower, he's not doing much else.

Or he'll break the lock. I think this creeper wants to get in the house. A lawn mower might help with that.
