Today, I met my mother's deeply religious fiancé for the first time. His response upon seeing me was to look me square in the eye and say, "You'll need to take out that nose stud or I'm afraid you'll not be welcome in our home." FML

I don't see what your nose stud has to do with religion, this guy sounds like a bit of an ass!

You're a far better person than I... I wouldve jacked that @$$hole and my mom wouldn't expect anything less...

My ex had a similar problem, she wanted to get hers pierced, here dad said "no" cause it's not in the bible. I don't know what bible verse it is, but there is one speaking of Mary or perhaps just females in general with nose studs. Fine it and throw it in his face! :)

Curse him and ur mom and say, 'good . I wouldn't wanna be caught dead living in a home who doesn't appreciate wht their daughter wants in HER life .'

Does his god hate piercings? I don't remember anything about that?

I'm pretty sure daughter trumps rude fiancé. He's not her dad and shouldn't have any right whatsoever to talk to her like that. Assuming that she's grown and has already moved out, this is just some guy her mom married. As unimportant as that second cousin that you've only met twice.

I would have looked my mum square in the eye and said, 'wow, he's a keeper.' But then I'm lucky, because my mum would never stand for that kind of bullshit.

How terrible. :( I can't stand religious fundamentalists. Here's hoping your mom chooses you over the nutjob.
