Who's Christina?

Today, I was using my boyfriend's phone to call my mom. A text message arrived from "Christina" that said, "Just put the kids to bed, come over." He swears they're only work buddies, but refuses to tell her he has a girlfriend, to avoid making things weird at work. We've been together two years. FML

Not to be insensitive, but by the way she just said 'come over' makes me doubt they're just 'buddies'. That's more demanding, and we only tend to do that once we've known someone really well.

I say breakup with his ass :) you deserve way better

Do you believe that they're just work buddies? That doesn't explain why he would be summoned to her house at night and doesn't need to be given the address. Don't waste any more time with someone who, at best, shows more concern for another woman's feelings over yours and who, at worst, is unfaithful and an unimaginative liar.

I'm with you there, but I think unimaginative liars are much better than the imaginative ones. Being able to lie well without care for other people is one of the key components of psychopathic behavior.

Point taken. I think I meant it more along tbe lines of "he's an idiot who clearly thinks you're dumb enough to fallfor that" rather than "find yourself a pathological liar who can deceive lie detector tests".

Please tell me you dumped him afterwards.

"Put the kids to bed" might refer to her getting out of the bathroom after taking a crap. Therefore, that proves that they're more than friends by her letting him know that private information. *Far fetched*

Yes, because texting a guy to say that she just took a shit would be a huge turn on to make him come over... I don't know, it's a wild guess but maybe "put the kids to beds" just means that she has children and that she simply put them to bed...

Yeah, nothing shady going on there. It's always awkward having to tell your workmates that you know someone outside of work.
