Whoops

Today, I was helping a couple come up with a name for the baby they just had. I suggested "Joshua" thinking that it was an okay name. All sudden, the room got quiet. Turns out I had forgotten that Joshua was the name of their 3 year-old son who had died a couple months before. FML

For everyone who keeps harping on the notion that the OP probably didn't know about Joshua -- the OP specifically used the word "forgot", which clearly insinuates "once knew". If "I had forgotten" was taken out of the sentence, it would've still made sense; however, the OP put it in for a reason. I understand being forgetful, but it's only been 3 months!! Come on!
