Even if he was too scared to come out of he closet, that does not give him he right to let his sister take crap from their mom! She's covering for him and he finds it hilarious. I guess many people see him as an ungrateful jerk, hence the "rat him out" comments. But honestly, people, who the heck do you think you are, giving impulsive and most of the time shitty advice to complete strangers?! It's not like she asked you for your opinion! So unless you know the specifics, keep your crap to yourself and try to understand that even though you claim that you would do this or say that, OP IS NOT YOU. Jeez! To OP: this sucks and I hope that your brother came out of the closet and that your mom stopped yelling at you for something you have very little to do with.

Iellwen - I'm all for giving good advice and all, but _japhne_ has a good point. The OP could've just told their mum that his relationship status is nothing to do with them, and or talk to her brother about a solution to both their problems without him having to come out. "It's not like she asked you for your opinion!" Not explicitly, she did however post it for all to see on the internet and therefore inavertantly asked for opinions. Whether or not they're ones she wants to hear.

Indeed; I was raging against the 4 words comments, not the ones that are based on an actual theorie or experience etc... I agree with you Cinn and I'm not trying to say _japhne_'s "wrong". I'm just sick and tired of some comments, if you know what I mean :)
