Today, I was told by my mom that I'm a terrible person because I won't help my brother get a girlfriend. He's gay, but won't tell her because he thinks it's hilarious when she yells at me. FML

Tell your brother to have Mom lay off. Suggest that he make up an excuse as to why he isn't dating if he isn't ready to come out. He can say that he's too busy with work or school. He can lie and say that you've been trying to fix him up but none of the potential girls worked out. Failing that, I say take drastic measures. You don't have to out him, but invite a girl over to introduce to your brother. (Note: be sure that she knows what the score is beforehand so you don't hurt her.) If Mom sees that you are making an effort, maybe she'll back off, even if your brother doesn't bite. Do it a couple of times (again, let the girls know beforehand and make sure they are good sports and good actresses) and she'll realize that it isn't your fault. Your brother can decide whether he'd rather come out or have mom stop blaming you and start blaming him for the absence of a girlfriend. You could also see if Mom has any friends/coworkers with eligible daughters, but that does run the risk of getting an innocent girl hurt.

I was going to make this suggestion too (about inviting girls over for your brother), I think it's a great idea, particularly if he refuses to tell your mom to stop bugging you about it.

La~ I feel your pain. My mom carries the same kind of twisted logic yours does. Example 1: She refuses to allow me to sell the Wii she bought me (for reasons beyond my knowledge as we already HAVE one) to buy a less expensive Graphics Tablet because: You're not a Art Major, Morgan. It'll just be a toy to you.

It would be ridiculously funny if ur mom yells at him for being gay, right? ur mom gonna find out someday. or you can use that fact to make your brother ur slave hahahaha. I grew up with 4 siblings and i know how to manage such things :P
