Womens' pockets liberation now!

Today, I had to give in and order men's jeans, just so I could have functional pockets. Ordinarily not a problem, except I have wide hips and a suitable size doesn't seem to exist. FML

It is absolutely ridiculous that so many pairs of women's jeans, shorts, capris, etc. have what appear to be pockets but they're purely cosmetic and not functional. It makes absolutely no sense and is one of the stupidest style ideas ever invented.

Don’t forget women’s cargo pants have 1/4 the pocket space of men’s cargo pants.

(1) Try the big and tall stores and websites. (2) Try US stores and websites (including Amazon USA) - there are lots of wide people here and stores that cater to them. (3) Consider a “Fanny Pack” it’s a belt-like pouch that goes around your waist with zipper pockets. They are reasonably popular in the USA.
