She's mad because she's not the girl of your dreams.
You just made my day with that comment.
OP should say the girl tried to take him from his girlfriend in the dream. That's why he called her name and why it was a nightmare. Add something about waking up to his true love by his side and OP should be home free.
#6 yes uh........interesting to know. I guess I'll take note of that
Plot twist: It was actually his girlfriends name and the nightmare was about her accusing you of cheating. Now she accused in reality. But what if reality is actually a dream and you are still in the nightmare!
Plot twist: he's right.
Nice one
Just because she's not speaking to you doesn't mean she won't listen. Let her calm down a little and then explain that you had a nightmare and if you did scream another girl's name, it was probably because something really bad happened to her in the nightmare. If you can't reason with her, well, that's around when couple therapy will help. Usually.
Good advice in an FML comment? That's an oddity if I've ever seen one. Get it? Cuz your username? I'm sorry, I'll let myself out.
I don't see the point in babying someone. if she wants to act like that, dump her like last week's garbage.
#31, it's not "babying." It's trying to save a relationship. If OP has been happy in the relationship, they should try and save it. I mean, dumping her over this one thing would be as ridiculous as selling your car because one of the tires is flat. Besides, there are plenty of reasons she's acting like that; she's been cheated on a lot, she's going through a hard time in life (i.e. family death), OP has cheated before, medical reasons (i.e. bipolar disorder), so we can't just assume she's some crazy bitch OP shouldn't be with. We don't have enough info for that.
31, no if you're in a serious a relationship, its time to put your big girl panties on and leave the baggage at the door. If you have hang ups, you don't need to be dating. You can't change, fix, or help people. They have to do that on their own.
You know, I'd be all little concerned too if I heard my boyfriend say another girls name in his sleep. Of course, I'd ask what he dreamt about. I wouldn't be too upset, as long as it wasn't one of "those" dreams. You can't control what you dream about, though. But if it was one of those kinds of dreams, I'd wonder what made his subconscious dream of it. But I do think OP's girlfriend overreacted a bit. She should talk to him about it, and clear it up before jumping to conclusions. It WAS a nightmare, so you know.
#47, by that logic, almost no one would ever date and we would be extremely underpopulated. Everyone has baggage, everyone has scars. We can't just forget them (and if it's medical, we can only do so much to deal with it) and saying that because someone has them, they shouldn't date, is stupid. Saying that we can't help people is stupid. I mean, what the **** do you think therapists are for? Charity? Hospitals? Medicine? Rehab? Things like alcoholics anonymous? They're all there to help people and great examples of how we can "fix" people. Part of relationships is helping the other person through things. If you can't see that now, I'm not going to sit here and try and explain it. I shouldn't have to.
47- ultimately you have to help yourself. you can't change people. obviously you don't get it. Also I don't understand why you would think psycho behavior is normal. I'd hate to date you. You sound unstable. Hopefully you have no children, because they would be in great danger in your care.
#56, look, asshole, it's one thing to have an opinion, it's another to think I'm mentally unstable with no actual proof. I hope YOU don't have children, and if you refuse to date someone with baggage, you probably won't. You know what? The chances of you, a 21 year old man, ever dating me, a 13 year old boy, are insanely unlikely. And even more so because I don't swing that way or date assholes who make assumptions about people they don't even know. Kindly **** off because clearly reasoning doesn't work with you.
62- lol, butthurt much? Just like someone who doesn't have a valid point. If you can't prove your point, you revert to profanity. Pathetic.
Well... that escalated quickly.
As long as it wasn't your sister's name...
Or her sister's name.
The world is not black and white, you can't tell me you've never lied to your significant other to save their feelings? That's just ridicules, no one is 100% honest. White lies do not cause damage, but prevent it If she's insecure don't you think the OP would of put that in. Or the OP should have some idea at least
I lol'd at #4
this is probably the last thing you would want to do
Your girlfriend really needs to calm down.
Hmm.. I think there's a clear difference between yelling out someone's name during something like a wet dream, and then something like a night terror. Hopefully you can get her to sit down and talk with you about it. Sounds like she's somewhat insecure if she's so quick to accuse you of cheating. FYL
OP this is what's called a "red flag."
crazy bitches like her give all girls a bad rep
#10 not as bad of a rep as those crazy bitches going around stereotyping and calling random people crazy bitches give. Right?
Try to reason with her once or twice, but if she won't listen, she's not worth your time. There are tons of great girls out there who would actually listen to you and try to reason with you instead of simply assuming that you're cheating.
