Today, I had a nightmare and woke up in a cold sweat. My girlfriend was in bed with me at the time, and swears I yelled out another girl's name. She considers this proof that I'm cheating on her, and now she won't even speak to me. FML

Today, I woke up in the middle of the night with a numb arm. When I tried to reposition it, it flew crazily and slapped my girlfriend in the face. My girlfriend, who was in a string of abusive relationships, and has severe PTSD. FML

Just because she's not speaking to you doesn't mean she won't listen. Let her calm down a little and then explain that you had a nightmare and if you did scream another girl's name, it was probably because something really bad happened to her in the nightmare. If you can't reason with her, well, that's around when couple therapy will help. Usually.
