Wow, I'm sorry, OP. This is why people are afraid to help each other.
Actually it's more that if people try to help they can be sued. Also not all people are first aid trained, and would have no idea what to do in a situation like this. And even less people are CPR trained.
Well in Germany you will be sued if you don't help and can't be sued if you don't
How come not all that many people have first aid training? Over here its mandatory for everyone who has a driving licence, has been in military, it's required in many non-medical workplaces, etc - so majority of people will have gone through 2-3 first aid trainings, and it always includes CPR. We also have the duty to aid within our capabilities. The OP is also from Sweden, where suing isn't as common as in the US.
#8, you cannot be sued for administering CPR in the U.S. It's called the Good Samaritan Act. Not sure about Sweden, but I highly doubt people get sued for performing CPR.
Only if the person is unconscience you can't be sued for helping.
If the person is conscious you should not be performing CPR. Also, if they're conscious they can let you know if they consent to you helping or not.

its the fuckwits like you who cant take a bit of banter, man up ya meatwallet
Wow OP, I'm sorry. That's really unfortunate. But hey at least you may have saved somebody's life today. There's good people and bad people in this world. Karma will catch up with him :)
Or her
I hope so, people like that deserve nothing
Something similar happened in Melbourne a while ago. After a car accident 2 people stole the deceased elderly woman's stuff while pretending to help. The worst type of people
All good deeds must be punished
There is a video on Utube somewhere of a man having a seizure in the middle of a shopping mall. A man walks up to him, pulls his wallet from the mans pants and walks off. There really are some low people around! You were doing a great thing yourself OP. I hope the person you gave CPR to pulled through.
Why would that person sue OP? It wasn't OP fault for some asshat to steal their purse.
Never mind I'm sorry. I get why you were implying that. In America we have a law to protect the person saving someone else's life.
And at least OP didn't get shot in the robbery, right? Why would you bring that up?
