Not a morning person

Today, I woke up early to travel to the office headquarters 3.5 hours away for important meetings. After waking up at 5.30am, picking up all my colleagues and driving 40 min out of town, I realised I was wearing my woolen house slippers. They were the only pair of shoes I'd brought on the trip. FML

So find a shoe store when you get there. It sucks to have to pay for another pair, but it's an easy fix.

Considering your colleagues clearly didn't tell you about the slip up I'd say it's fair game to murder the one you like least and steal his shoes. It's the only rational thing to do!

When you get into a car, do you notice the driver's shoes?

I guess only if you have a certain foot fetish...

I would've bought another pair on the way there, doesn't really matter which ones because I'm in a rush but definitely better than slippers.

Not sure why this comment got down voted so much...

IF any of the other passengers noticed, maybe they thought the OP was only wearing them for the comfort of driving and had actual shoes in the trunk. I rarely wear my work shoes while driving because my heels wear out the carpeting in the car.

Hahaha why all the thumbs down?! That's funny. Early retirement plan. Come on.. Anyone?

#3, to some women, having to buy shoes is as bad a punishment as forcing a guy to buy a power tool ;)

Or borrow one pair from a friend that has a similar shoe size.

# 35, I have no problem buying new shoes....especially when it comes to keeping an important job like that.

#5, that's insane! Logic dictates that you murder the co-worker with the shoes you like the best! (If that happens to be the person you like least, then that's just a win-win.)

op was driving. they probably didn't notice his shoes

Woolen have been so bad if you had just thought before you left!

It kinda makes sense. Had to re-read though.

Stretching the bounds of pun humor... Definitely not perdix/noor worthy. In my expert opinion. Lol.

I think the next best thing to do would be to find a store on the way and pick up a pair. If your colleagues didn't have the common decency to tell you, then either you don't have a good relationship with any of them or they're just douchebags. Right now, it's hard to tell which it is.

They probably didn't see his shoes since he was the one driving

^Very true, I realized this after I commented. Which brings up another point, that is that it is extremely easy for an OP to twist a story into their favour. I suppose with this being taken into consideration, this is nobody's fault but OP's regardless, for forgetting what he was wearing on his feet.

Make sure you're the first one in the building and sit down, then be the last one to leave. Not only will they not notice, but you will look the most dedicated.

Technically if OP was driving, it's hard for his/her colleagues to see what kind of shoes OP is wearing. So I would give them a break. But go buy new shoes I guess
