Baby love

By bushy brows - 04/01/2016 23:13 - United States - Prior Lake

Today, I recently gave birth to my daughter, and my husband and I both have dark hair and bushy eyebrows. We never thought it was a problem until our daughter was born with a dark, bushy unibrow. Now I'm too nervous to take pictures of her 'cause our family and friends laugh every time they see her. FML

I really want to say FYL but if you already can't accept your daughter for who she is then FHL & YDI. Friends and family who laugh at a baby for something she can't help are asshats.

People opinions are the least thing you should care about. Congrats on your beautiful daughter.

I'd say tweezers or threading. Razors could be dangerous if the baby moves and wax might be too hot.

Take the photos with pride. Your baby's features will change and you will glad to have the photos! People will laugh? Let them! At least you delivered a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Congrats and best of luck to the baby! Who knows, she might become President some day! :)

As someone who used to have a unibrow, was bullied for it, took years to learn to like her eyebrows, and even now still gets insecure and goes a little overboard on plucking sometimes, I feel bad for your daughter, not because having a unibrow is a bad thing but because I know things will get bad in middle school. However, as the parent, it's your and your husband's job to say "She's my daughter and I love her the way she is and if you have a problem with her, you can stick it."

Why is society now judging the appearance of a child? What are you teaching the baby if your already trying to uphold her to today's high beauty standards? You're telling her that the way she looks isn't good enough.

And like #25 said, sometimes newborns are extra hairy. Hell, my (now very fine) hair was thicker when I was a newborn than it is now. (I wish that hadn't receded.) Thick eyebrows are cool, though.

Perhaps a bit blunt but **** your family and friends. Love your daughter and treat her like the angel she is.

Why do you care? That's your child, it doesn't matter what it looks like. If people laugh screw them, you shouldn't be embarrassed for something you took nine months to carry.

You should be proud you gave birth to the female Rock Lee :D

Maybe she's the reincarnation of Frida Kahlo
