water, use water
Water is always a good choice! The only thirst quencher. So why didn't you give her that?
what you should of done is takr her to the ******* hospital you idiot!!
Haha ooh, that's not good. This reminds me of an FML from way back in 2009 where the girl accidentally have the 4 and 2 year old she was babysitting margarita mix. This must happen more than I thought!
Senpai why did you do this why
I'd say this is a double standard blame here. First, should of checked the label or as past people said checked with a test taste or sniff. Second it always helps to ask the child what they normally drink. (but don't always believe them children are sneaky) Second, why didn't the parents have drinks for the child ready for you., or talked you through that maybe tap water is what they give their child. Also as I read from someone else's comment it's not good to have alcohol in plain sight cause children don't always know what is alright to drink. In the end probably should of told the parents. That way they can make sure she is alright, and maybe if they hire a different baby sitter they can avoid this from happening again.
They probably thought what their 9 year old is old enough to say what they usually have to drink or get it themselves, OR that OP had enough sense to just pour a glass of water like every other reasonable person. My brother is nine, and trust me, by nine they're more than capable. A forth grader is more than capable, and if Op is old enough to babysit, op should be intelligent enough to pour water when there's no juice immediately in sight. It sounds like she kept looking even after not turning anything up right away.
Did you give it neat or with soda?
If you don't know what the drink is, you should ALWAYS test it before giving it to a child.
Who the hell gives a child an unfamiliar drink without checking it first? I hope the child didn't drink too much or it could be dangerous. Should have also told the parents.

That could actually be dangerous. You need to pay attention or find another line of work.
