If that's your preference for a party than that's fine, anyway, Happy Birthday!
Aww, nothing wrong with a toned-down party :) Sometimes they can be a lot of fun, and a bunch more relaxing. Happy 18th OP :)
Maybe that's a good thing...?
oh loneliness...when you hold us... ;)
Your party may have been "toned down", but you can always tell all your buds that didnt show up that "It was such a wild party that people were parking everywhere and the cops showed up and everything!" Not a lie! Unfortunatly living in Ohio, the parties here are quite mellow compaired to Chicago!
You're 18 now, which means you're an adult. So you'd rather have a party that caused you to get arrested or fined? I'd much rather have a more subtle one with no laws broken.
I don't see what's so bad. A party interrupted by cops where in the end nothing bad happened? Whats the problem! My 18th birthday was toned down too (mostly cuz the rain kept us all inside) and it was still great!
Turn down for what, you're already turned down.
Congratulations?
That's not necessarily a bad thing

Toned down doesn't mean a bad thing, i always find parties where you just have a laugh the best anyway.
The best parties are the quiet ones :) my favourite birthday party was when me and 3 close friends went to see a movie and then they all slept over. Hope it was an awesome toned down party :)
