Today, I told my dad that I was going to sleep over my friend's house this weekend with a few other guys to play Dungeons and Dragons. He responded with, "Oh, back in my day, me and my pals used to pick on the kids who played Dungeons and Dragons." FML

Today, I'd set aside a weekend to play Dungeons & Dragons. One of our players suddenly had trouble with his wife and brought his toddler over. The kid would not stop crying, getting into places he shouldn't be, and loudly shitting his diaper every 15 minutes. I had to eject the player from the game. This is why I don't want kids. FML

Today, I asked my dad to pick me up from school, he said he couldn't. Why? he was busy playing world of warcraft for the night. I got to walk the 3 hours home while my 49 year old dad played computer games. FML

Today, I'd set aside a weekend to play D&D. Some old acquaintances wanted to join, saying they'd pay for food. When I picked them up to drive them to the game, they claimed they were screwed on their paychecks, couldn't afford food or gas. However, they could afford Mountain Dew and candy bars for themselves. FML

Today, I asked my 4-year-old daughter where her father went. She said, "Out to have fun with Zoe." Acting on suspicion, I followed him and did a stakeout. Hours later, I barged in and caught him playing Dungeons and Dragons. "Zoe" is the female wizard he plays as. FML

Today, my friend told me that he was having a Scrabble tournament at his house with a bunch of our friends. I told my dad about the tournament and he gave me a special Scrabble dictionary to bring. Hesitantly, I brought the dictionary and as I walked in, everyone was playing beer pong. FML

Geez, wtf is wrong with you, OP? Everyone picks on the kids that play dungeons and dragons. EVEN THE KIDS THAT PLAY DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS PICK ON THE KIDS THAT PLAY DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS. I should know, I play :D No, jerkoffs who are laughing, I don't play WoW. Don't talk about how shitty D&D is til you've tried it. But no D&D player has gotten away from being called a nerd, even by other players :D Being picked on for it is not an FML. And your dad isn't even picking on you. Not an FML. Edit: Not everyone who plays dresses up. I don't. If you really don't know anything about the game, don't get your assumptions from TV and think you know it all about players :P

ok to ALL of you who have bashed d&d you cant honestly say anything unless you dont own any sort of video game system or enjoy playing any video games AT ALL because d&d is 100x more challenging more creative and more active than 99% of videogames. So unless you spend every minute of every day getting laid you have nothing to say. The OP didnt say he played every day and every night now did he? Doing anything to a point of repetitiveness that takes over your life makes you not have one. If workout everyday that doesnt make you have anymore of a life than someone who plays d&d. If you play music everyday that doesnt either. Its a hobby unlike any other and it expands the mind to the limits of imagination.

I don't even play D&D and I know that it owns all of you saying it sucks, you're a loser for playing it, etc. FYL for having a jackass for a dad, you win for not being afraid to be yourself. I'm so sick of society trying to oppress people who don't try to fit in.
