Today, my mother asked me if my boyfriend and I were getting serious. I quickly lied and said no. She then informed me that if things ever heated up, she would take me to get birth control. Wanting birth control, I confessed. In turn she grounded me. I'm not allowed to see my boyfriend anymore. FML

Today, I was watching a movie that had a mild sex scene in it. My mother walked in just as that scene was starting and she flipped out. I'm now grounded. She's taken my TV and laptop out of my room and refuses to let me see my boyfriend because she's sure he's the cause of my "disgusting behaviour". FML

Today, I told my mom I was going on a date tonight. She laughed and didn't believe me. When I tried to convince her it was real, she got mad and grounded me for lying. I had to cancel the date. FML

Today, I was grounded for not agreeing with an article on dating my mom found in a very strict magazine. The article told parents to monitor phone calls, make rumors about their children cheating on people and not allow their children anywhere but home. FML

Today, I told my mom about the couple of times that I'd skipped classes during high school. She got really mad and grounded me for a month. That would usually be normal except for the fact that I'm 27 and live in my own apartment. FML

My mum did this except she actually did take me to get birth control and my boyfriend comes round for dinner with my family once a week and stays over a few weekends too. Guess I'm winning on the parents front? As long as I'm honest and safe and she thinks I'm making sensible decisions she accepts that I'm old enough to make those decisions

seriously? she's an idiot clearly your a teenager and i think we all know teenagers are stubborn and always find a way but you'd think your parents would at least be calmer i mean its not like your doing it fully unprotected. I mean i recommend using a condum still but at least your doing something.

There's this thing parents do called "the bs trap" where they act like they want to get to know you and your life better just to not care and punish you for no reason. You get better with time.
