I think there is a distinction between meeting someone online, and thinking that you are actually in a relationship if you haven't met them. When I was 29, most of my friends were coupled up and didn't want to go to bars/ concerts anymore. My sporting interests (combat sports) were not a good way to meet girls. The dating pool was shrinking as people paired off. Dispassionately, I realized that online dating was my best option. I gritted my teeth and put up a profile. I met a few people, some not so great, some perfectly nice but no chemistry. I met one girl online, had a preliminary email, then a phone conversation, before meeting. We had a nice time, hit it off and are still together 7 years later. Obviously, I am never going to tell anyone we know how we met.
hahaha that'll happen
At first i was like *ugh* Then i lol'd Why would you online date in the first place and did the person you were "dating" send you pics of a girl?
#62, it's no big deal to meet people online. The point is that you meet them in person, too. This douchebag (OP) had no excuse NOT to meet her/him in person, he's obviously just anti-social or maybe he has an inherent fear of women. Either way, I'm not ashamed to say I met my husband online, it's a good source for meeting good people outside of your area.
you totally deserved that one. why dont you try to get a girl friend in real life; its not hard and do not go for the one that is above your league. P.S. The person you date is a G.I.R.L ( GUY IN REA LIFE). FYL
That will happen online. Some people have nothing better to do. Reason I post on FML.
DATING and ONLINE aren't supposed to go together in a sentence unless it is: " I met my girlfriend, whom i am dating, online." not having met the person = not dating.
