Chill out, Kathy

By nearly a crazy lady - This FML is from back in 2013 but it's good stuff - United Kingdom

Today, my OCD manager sprayed my hands with chemicals because I'd touched the bin while throwing away a piece of paper. My hands are now covered in itchy, unattractive rashes. FML

Time to work on you "trash basketball" my friend

OCD sucks. I can say that she really can't help it. I've been there, and everyone gets annoyed with me over my "quirks" too. I know it sucks for you OP, but your manager really can't control it. It sucks for all parties involved

And this is when you report her for causing you bodily harm. OCD or no, she had no right to cause you physical harm. Report her ass and make sure that either she, or your work pay for the doctors bills.

The manager has the right to be bothered personally by OP touching the can. The manager does not have the right to act on that without OP's consent or OP has the right to give the manager a right hook/right cross right now!

This is grounds for an assault charge

I think you should complain to upper management, he has no valid reason to spray employees because of his PERSONAL issues, spray himself, not others!! Also, he's damaged your skin with rashes so he's injured you, I'd seriously complain, his behaviour will just worsen if ignored.

you know you can have him done for assault, right?

Having eczema, I understand your plight. I would make your boss pay for a doctors appointment. And DEFINITELY say something to them about the incident. That could have been very harmful to your health! Hope your hands feel better soon. For now, try Benadryl cream or calamine lotion.

Superbugs are the result of the over prescription of antibiotics and also from the failure of people to take their antibiotics as prescribed (not taking the antibiotics for the full amount of days for example, because they 'feel better.') These actions resulted in the growth of antibiotic resistant bacteria which is a 'superbug.' Superbugs have nothing to do with whether or not you 'played in the mud.' That being said, there is something to be said for playing in the dirt and building your immunity up. As to the FML - I think it's assault as well and your boss either caused a chemical burn or allergic reaction. And OCD or whatever is not an excuse.
