Usually there are signs warning of such things, but I probably would've grabbed the fence out of instinct. Sorry, that's horrible.

Sucks balls of steel to fall AND get shocked.... That's just a bad combo. ...But are electric fences just sporadically placed throughout Polish mountains, or something? Because I'm trying to understand why anyone would KNOWINGLY walk that close to an electric fence! Haha.

I've had encounters with electric fences, and they don't so much as hurt as make you feel really uncomfortable. I hit one while carrying a large water barrel and my entire back and leg spasmed pretty badly, but it didn't really hurt. I bet the fall did more damage. However, falling and getting electrocuted would suck, so yes, FYL

Have you been shocked by a livestock fence, not expecting the electric shock to just suddenly jolt your body? I've backed into livestock fences at a horse ranch before. Painful as all hell, and leaves you numb if you're unable to get away from it fast enough.

same thing happened to me! the horse stepped on my feet which hurt, so i backed up in the fence, and it HURT like shit. anyone who says electric fences arent painful are dumb and have obviously never touched one.
