Today, my dad told me that I can't wear leggings on Friday nights, because, "your butt is too distracting for my poker buddies." FML

JustClaire95 tells us more.

I'll prob just wear jeans from now on. Though it'd be funny to see them react to a mini skirt lol!

But that's a good thing for his winnings, right?

Gross. Dirty old men. Next time wear a flannel dressing gown. Rollers in your hair and pick your nose on poker night. They will never look at you in a sexual way again.

Id tell your dad he needs to have some respect and tell his buddies the same. Maybe you don't need to be parading around in them infront of his buddies but they need to respect you as well.

Ew, that's not the thing he should be worried about, his creepy buddies need to be punched for checking you out!

Isn't the entire point of those pants to be eye catching (if they were bought for working out you would only wear them at the gym) So we're supposed to blame these guys for essentially falling for the sales pitch?

"people say I'm to pretty, my life sucks" conceded much?

That's goddamn gross, holy hell. Tell your dad that if his nasty-ass friends can't keep their eyes off of you, they can go play poker somewhere else; it's not your fault they're pigs. And the next time you see them, roundhouse kick them in their faces for being dirty old men.

It's really disconcerting to see how many of you don't get this. 99 is exactly right -- men aren't wild animals and they should be able to refrain from leering at a girl for wearing a type of pants. Women should not have to cater their clothing so men don't harass them -- men need to learn to control themselves. Nobody is EVER "asking for it" by what they wear, impulse control is a great thing that us humans have, and people need to utilize it and stop sexualizing women's bodies. Saying that men staring is part of the "sales pitch" is like saying "boys will be boys". Stop excusing it, it's attitudes like that which lead to men thinking they have the right to harass a girl based off of what she's wearing. Sorry for the novel, victim blaming really bothers me.
