You were not at a barbeque (2 syllables). You were at a BARBECUE (3 syllables). People who don't know the difference between a C and a Q shouldn't be allowed to use forks and knives. Let them barbecue with their bare hands.
Actually both spellings are correct.
How do you get 2 syllables from barbeque? "bar-beh-q"
Before you decide to be a jerk over how someone says/spells something, why don't you actually google it? There are places that use the spelling of barbeque. Also if you actually take a look at the shorthand of the word, aka the abbreviation, you might see that it's actually bbq. Furthermore, I'll comment on the 2 syllables thing. As the person who replied before me, how do you get only 2 syllables out of barbeque? Bar...be....que. Maybe if op had spelled it barbec, or barbeq, I could see it. How about you check yourself before you wreck yourself?
People who don't know when to shut the **** 68
I wish I could thumb this down more than once.
At least mom knows you have a considerate lover now.
There needs to be a "who gives a ****?" button.
Awkward but you're lucky! Hopefully she won't bring it up OP. Enjoy it!
Well honestly op at least your mother knows your boyfriend takes care of your needs.. So in my opinion it's not that big of a deal.
