Donut eat this

Today, my sister offered me a couple of doughnuts she bought recently. Thinking she was just being nice, I went ahead and started eating, and was met with the most horrid taste I've ever experienced. Turns out her "recently" was two weeks ago. FML

I swear, it's donuts, why is everyone using "doughnuts" now?

It's both. Doughnut is the older spelling and (I think) still primarily used in places other than the U.S. Donut is newer but equally as correct

Yeah doughnut is how it's spelled in the UK

Because not everyone is from the same country as you...

#24 Did state that everyone was from the UK? Or did she state where she was from?

"Doughnut" is the dictionary-approved form. "Donut" is a shortened version primarily found in the USA, largely spread by the brand "Dunkin Donuts."

unless she microwaved them to make them softer again, and warm to seem "recently baked".

You could always do something similar to her for payback. Just make sure she won't get the ***** or anything from it.
