False hope

Today, I invited over my best friend, whom I've loved for over a year, since she had to tell me "something important". I got excited and thought she was going to tell me she loved me too. She ended up coming out to me, and wanted to know if I would meet her girlfriend. FML

well atleast she trusts you as a friend and you know that she won't be with another guy? :)

Uh, no. There isn't. Lesbians don't like guys. They don't like dicks. Lesbians don't want to get with you. Ever.

I know it's hard, OP, but if you're truly her friend...You have to support her and who she is. At least she has a good reason to only have platonic feelings for you.

Exactly my thoughts. I've seen similar things happen - even if love isn't mutual (for whatever reason) it's still good to be friends. Sometimes I even feel like friendships are more valuable than relationships...silly me for thinking so..(eyeroll)

Exactly. As a friend, as much as it might hurt, you can't think about yourself in this situation, but support her. I know that sounds kind of rude. But it's true. I had a huge thing for my best friend before he told me he was into guys. Six years later and he's still in his 2 year long happy, healthy relationship and I have long since moved on. I'm so glad to see him with someone he loves. That's how friendship and caring for someone works.

The people who are saying there's still time or that he should've acted sooner are dumb. Gay is gay is gay was gay will be gay is gay. >_>

Word! Unless OP's best friend is bi, OP doesn't have a chance with her.

The way you worded that made me lol xD thank you for that

actually if he had said something sooner it would have worked possibly, there's doubts. every gay person has straight thoughts atleast once in there life time. d: not trying to start anything! just voicing my opinion (: -thanks

Alternatly, bi is bi is bi was bi will be bi is bi. They didn't say the best friend was gay, only that she had a girlfriend. Actually a vital difference in wording there. We don't know. Stop thinking along either/or lines!

I disagree. If not for my bf, I'd just hit up girls. Guys tend to suck.

And here I go, getting my account banned. It's not natural like all you people say. If gay was natural they would be able to procreate, in case you people forgot your own evolutionary descent. Even from a religious aspect it's wrong, at least if it's 2 males but that's a whole other side of that story. Just thought I would point that out. He should try the "Turn you straight" or "See what you're missing" offer on them. :D

I don't think op's bestfriend is bi otherwise he would not of wrote an FML about it because then he'd at least still have a chance with her.

awwh, I'm sorry.:/ she's not worth it, I guess you should move on.

I hate when people say "they aren't worth it." Maybe Op isn't worth it? You don't know the person and just because she is a lesbian and won't be his doesn't mean she did anything bad. Op didn't tell her how he felt so its his fault and even then there was no guarantee she would have gone out with him (hence the girlfriend part) but even then it does not make her worthless.

I agree the op should move on and continue doing things until he meets the right girl and I agree with 33 cuz why would the op be a bad friend and think the girl is worthless? the op should just support her and her choice instead of blowing her off.

The only reasonable solution is to get a sex change and hope for the best.

maybe... if she's pansexual, which I doubt.

Why is everyone assuming she's a lesbian? It probably only bothers me this much because I'm bisexual and have to deal with peoples' ignorance daily, but still. Besides, lesbians wouldn't necessarily be into a transgender person.

#9 No, they wouldn't have been different. She still would have been a lesbian. OP, that must have been hard. On the bright side, she just trusted you with something incredibly important.

It's never says she's a lesbian, she is dating a girl, but she could be bi.

WELL AT LEAST YOU CAN HAVE A THREESOME! A-DURRR! ....I wonder how many people will say this.

A7X_LoVeee 10

Why yes. It seems loving her was An Epic Time Wasted. Right now he is Shattered By Broken Dreams and probably feels as if he Lost It All.

A7X_LoVeee 10

Mmhmm, he probably wants to Scream in hope that All Things Will End.

so much a7x references 0.0 maybe op should take a road trip around bat country and have a brompton cocktail lol

Damn, been there before. Maybe she'll let you watch??

Flutist 3

How would watching help the situation any? Then he would see her in an ever more sexual light. Being alone and watching someone you "love" screw someone else... scissor someone else is not going to help. If it did then he is obviously not in love with her and does not respect her.

Oh well. At least your supportive, right?
