By livgasms - This FML is from back in 2011 but it's good stuff - United Kingdom
Today, my class released the butterflies we have been raising. They got eaten by a bunch of mean birds. I went home and told my mom the whole thing. She says that's life. Now I don't care about anything because I'm gonna end up dead anyway, just like those butterflies. FML
that was the worst FML re-write I've ever read good job for officially failing at trying to be funny #86.
**** those kids lives man that would suck so bad to be them! but i also agree with #1 that it would be hilarious to watch on youtube or something
That happened to me too when I was in first grade.
aww that sucks for you!! especially that all the kids has too see it and you must of had too comfort 20 or so devistated kiddies!! And for the people going on with the circle of life crap you sit by why a bunch a little girls and boys are tearing and destroyed that the butterflies got eaten by birds! FLY for being such jerks posters!! PS; thought I would mention that in grade 2 we had silk worms and we had to take turns taking them home, and when It was my turn the box started to crack slightly so I put sticky tape around it.. And stickytaped about 15 silk worms in the process lol.

So they learn about life and death...killing two birds with one stone. Or two butterflies with one bird. Take your pick.
#4/5: You are aware that there a lots of different kinds of birds, right? With different diets? There aren't really enough worms in the world to sustain the entire avian population. Plenty of birds are insectivores. And, at least the kids learned about 'the circle of life'? I would have been pretty upset if a bird ate my butterfly though :(
