I would rather be dead than be a mother. I know the feeling OP. I'm lucky I avoided that scare tactic. I can't stand children and the "children first" mentality makes me sick. There's no room for adults once a child is born. The woman becomes "mom" and never leaves that place. Never safe to move around, follow dreams, they all belong to the kid now. I am very bitter. I spend enough money and anxiety and lose enough autonomy to my pets, thank you.
