Today, my psycho stepmother and I got into an argument, and she started to get physical. After calling the police, and a cop showing up at the door, he took her side because she said it was "discipline". I'm a 29 year-old man. FML

Just step outside, or drive away. You're an adult; handle it like one. She sounds like a real raging menopausal bitch, of course, but once you're old enough to do more than cower in the corner, waiting for the blows, you take charge of yourself and get the **** out. You have that power. And forget the cop; it sounds like he was mocking you for being unable to control the situation yourself.

Clearly a whole lot more going on here. Obviously a little Oedipus syndrome, which is what causes the altercation to get physical. I think you want to bang your step mom and she obviously wants to bang you.

It's not a syndrome it's a complex. And how long have you been waiting on a mother/son FML to say something like that? This isn't even his real mom were talking about so your logic is thrown off. Also Oedipus Rex himself didn't even knowingly have sex with his mom. It wasn't even like that. Nice try though.

How has no one pointed out how pathetic OP is? He's 29 and he is whining about his stupid dispute with his stepmom? I say grow up. "Oh the cop didn't take my side boo hoo" get over it. He uses phrases like "started to get physical" and "took her side". He says he's 29 as if that's supposed to support his argument but it just makes him look even sadder. The real FML here is the cop who wasted his valuable time.
