Give me strength

By GotPunched - 11/04/2009 06:36 - Finland

Today, my girlfriend's friend told her she had seen me shopping with a cute girl. When I came back home, my girlfriend punched me in the face and asked who the girl was. Apparently her friend didn't tell her the "cute girl" was my three year-old niece. I lost a tooth from the punch. FML

Leave her immediately. What a jerk.

break up with her. ok, so it IS domestic violence, but I think what a lot of you are overlooking from the feminist side (playing devil's advocate here) is that men are physically bigger and stronger than most women, and for centuries men have been in both a physically/socially dominant position, so they could beat their wives and get away with it. A man hitting a woman is much worse than a woman hitting a man, because he's abusing the size and power he already possesses. A woman punching a man could be construed as brave (if he's bigger than her), but a man hitting a woman is cowardly, because he's already bigger than her and he's beating on the weak. That being said, though, knocking out a tooth is pretty bad. Still domestic violence, but not as automatically horrifying as if the roles were reversed.

It's the friend who told his girlfriend she saw him with a "cute girl". Obviously she can't tell a little girl from a grown woman. She also may have told her that knowinh how she would react. So maybe your girlfriend's friend has something against you... A woman who punches a man is brave and defendind herself, I do agree, but she should have asked questions first before jumping to conclusions...or throwing a punch, in this case.

dudee she dangerous, probably insecure about your relationship too..

This one absolutely has to be fake. The only way this would happen is if their conversation when like this. Friend, playfully joking: I saw your boyfriend at the store today! GF: Yeah? F: With a cute girl! Sorry, I have to leave and cannot give any more details. What the hell? Did your girlfriend not ask who? Did she not get visibly angry and cause the friend to explain when she saw the confusion? Did the conversation completely drop off?

Your girlfriend obviously has jealousy issues. Make her give you one of her teeth, as a reparation.
