2x rinse and lather please!
Wow, maybe wash your hair BEFORE you go so you're not charged extra for the wash or stop using whatever god awful gel you use to keep your beiber hair in place...either way, YDI.
I am an assistant at a salon, and it's my job to shampoo people. Seriously YDI. You don't have to come in freshly shampooed that day, as we do that for you, but it's common courtesy to not come in with hair so greasy you can't even cut it. It sounds like you just don't wash your hair enough if it was that severe. I've shampooed a few people with this issue. For the people saying he might have a greasy hair issue all the time, so what, he could wash it that day before going in if it's so bad. I'm sorry but please just take care of your hair. If it's a habitual grease issue there's inexpensive shampoo that you can use.
i would be afraid of getting lice, working as a stylist. because if you find someone who has it, you dont know if its too late and you already got larvae on a shirt or one of them got on you. i had lice once. i have very thick hair and it took forever to get rid of -_-
I've heard lice do not like processed hair. They prefer "clean" baby hair. That's why it's more common among grade schoolers. If you're worried, just dye your hair once (the same colour if you don't want to switch) and you should be fine. (: Btw salons won't touch your hair if you have any signs of lice.
Usually they wash it before they cut it. Sometimes they just spray it with water though, so either way your hair is getting wet
Why is this getting downvoted? Most hairdressers in the UK wash hair before they cut it. In fact, I can't remember a time when I didn't have my hair washed before it was cut (doesn't stop me washing my hair every time I get a haircut, because I am paranoid of a situation similar to this)
Your profile pic took me a while to see what it actually was.
Now it all makes sense.
i'm sorry but am i the only one that believes maybe op does wash their hair and the lady was trying to get more money? or just being rude? i mean yeah, op may not wash their hair..or they could just have overly greasy hair that even washing it doesn't help..people DO buy the wrong shampoos a lot..there has to be more to the fml then what we are reading and chances are op had a brain fart and left it out.
No it sounds like he got some bitchy stylist. He probably has hair that is on the greasy side but nothing that most people would notice. At least now OP knows what to tip.
No, that was my first thought too! I've never been told my hair was too greasy but they always try and get extra money out of me somehow - 'do you want your nails done while you wait?' 'are you sure you don't want me to blowdry it?' 'shall I add a shampoo to your bill?' Annoying as hell so yeah, my first thought was 'I wonder if OP actually has greasy hair or whether the salon was just trying to con them'.That said, I'd say OP's username probably points towards the former...
51, they charge you to blowdry!? That's insane, is electricity scarce where you live? I've honestly NEVER heard of that before!
I've gone to the same stylist for years. She knows what I want done to my hair so she doesn't try to push products on me.(: And yes, of course they charge for blow drying your hair. It's not only just to dry it. They part it in sections and dry it piece by piece to bring out your haircut's look. It takes a long time to blow dry. I find that's important to see the final results, especially if I'm changing my hairstyle. (:
#45 the stylist accused op of having greasy hair. It leads mento believe that the stylist wants to get op to pay more or being a rude twat.
I'm a hairdresser. In my salon and most salons I know about, the style only costs a few dollars extra if anything at all. And we will never push product on anyone. It's just part of our job to ask and it's also part of our wages. We have to make money too. And you'd be astounded at how bad some of the store bought shampoos are for your hair. You might As well spend a little extra. It's your hair people! You've gotta take care of it. It's one of the first things people notice about you.
143, I love your profile picture. :D
You're alive, Snape?! Hiding out in the muggle world this whole time, you sly dog!
