Greasy greasy spot spot

By Whoops - This FML is from back in 2013 but it's good stuff - United Kingdom

Today, I was getting a haircut. The lady accusingly told me she'd have to thoroughly wash my hair before she started, as it was way too greasy to cut through. FML

Seriously... easy fix. Wash your hair.

So let her wash it! It's the beat feeling ever to have someone else wash your hair. Enjoy!

Everyone's assuming OP's hair was naturally greasy. But maybe she was stupid enough to oil it before going to the hairdresser.

She shouldn't have worded in so bluntly but rather just mentioned that she 'noticed' and should recommend some products (also don't they wash your hair every time?).

Hygiene my friend! Now that you've been made aware of the problem you can correct it. It's a simple solution, wash! If your hair is that greasy, how clean can the rest of you be?

I'm a hairdresser and yes we always have to wash the clients hair before and service.

I'm a stylist and it isn't always necessary. I have several clients who prefer dry cuts...hell, I prefer my hair to be cut dry.

in salons shampoos are free lol its the styling or cutting etc that you're charged for

In my country you wash and cut your hair for like 4 GBP. And it is regular and it implies that hairdresser washes your hair before cutting, you never get just cutting alone.

I don't know where you people are from, but every place I've been to in NJ and PA aren't required to wash before cutting. You have to specify between a wash and cut or just a cut.

Don't they usually wash your before they start cutting

I'm sure she can cut the hair follicle. But clean and evenly is another matter. Btw, most places make you pay for a wash.
