Grossed out

Today, after threatening my son for weeks that if he didn't clean his room, I would, I went in, equipped with a garbage bag, ready to throw away everything I found, only to discover dozens of empty bottles, two partially empty pizza boxes, Taco Bell wrappers, and cockroaches. FML

Well that's a useless threat. "Do your chores or I will for you!"

What's the problem? You should've known what you were getting into.

And these bottles consisted of before..?

How is that a threat? You are offering to do his chores, therefore saving him time and energy.

Wait, nevermind. It's a threat because OP was gonna throw away things her son might not want thrown away.

It's a threat because it's an invasion of his privacy. He might have things in there he doesn't want his mom to see, or things he doesn't want thrown out that she'll put in the trash.

You take away his phone then his car if he has one if hes under 18 take cash take off the door to his room take out the tv the bed turn off ac to his room he will clean it

Umm, that's pretty normal. You could have found worse. Consider yourself lucky.

my mom used to to the same thing. "either clean it up or I will" and when she Is in that mood cleaning up for her means getting a trash bag and throwing away EVERYTHING she finds
