Today, it's the third anniversary of when I started looking for a new job. I'm still working at the job that made me want to get a new one and I haven't even had an interview for another one in almost two years. My Master's degree on the wall is looking more and more like a roll of toilet paper. FML

It's funny how many people take these FML's so seriously (not to mention the responses!). An "FML" moment is really relative to that person's life. Of course there is always something bigger to be complained about by somebody else! And who would want to read a truly bad one? "Today my whole family died, even my dog, and I am now living on the street with no prospects and forced to eat food out of dumpsters...FML" (~and forced to use public Internet lol).

FML's are usually about the tragically stupid shit that happens to us all. It's not tragic - just tragically stupid - the OP was stupid, someone else was stupid or life just dumped on ya! And the 'peanut gallery' (u & me included) are just venting...it's kinda fun...nicely anonymous...

So true lol- this definitely isn't the site to go to if you don't want to hear whining and complaining! It just seems so ironic though when you have responders whining about poster's whining. And people freaking about where other people put their commas! It's all histerical! Honestly, I love every bit of it. Sorry if this sounds corny but this site is "a slice of life" : )

Hey, kudos to the OP for sticking it out in a hateful crap job while looking for the new one. A lot of people would quit a job they hated without a new one to replace it, even in this economy, and then be all pissy when they couldn't find one (I have friends who have done just that, or worked to get fired so they could slack around on unemployment for several months thinking they'd just be able to get a new job when they wanted one). For some reason, they're always surprised when I don't seem to sympathise with them. And the OP *is* thinking about those who've been laid off. He wants them to have and enjoy the job he's got now when he leaves it for a better one...
