#30 actually i didn't even ask they asked where i was ad then said they were on their way, and i agree it is a waste of emergency services
Thats amazing haha! Your dads ******* awesome, hehe this made me laugh. For all of you who are like OMG OMG HE IS SUCH A DICK OMG BLAH BLAH BLAH. SHUT UP lol grow a sense of humor and laugh about it lol. Hey atleast you have a good story to tell to your friends on poker night.
Car crashes are scary, you don't even have to be in one to be scared. I was younger once and I saw this guy lose complete control of his car drive into a pole, his 4 kids in the backseat. Super scary, indeed. But hell, I have a heart. Unlike most of the people on here. No. Saying I got into my *first* car accident does not mean the OP means more it means the OP had no idea what the hell to do. And you would think the parents would actually WANT to know atleast what happened, and make sure the OP is fine. But hell if y'all's parents are a bunch of pricks and don't give two ***** if y'all get into an accident because "y'all can take care of y'all's selves" well fine by me, but when you guys get in a major accident and you guys 'rents don't give a damn. That'll be my bestfriend, Karma. OP: I hope you are okay, your dad sounds kind of mean. YLIF.
I love your dad, my parents would do the exact same thing. :P
I hope they saved you some food at least.
Wow... everyone saying they are a spoiled brat must have some.. interesting parents. I would also call my mum and dad if I ever got into an accident. I wouldn't demand they come, but I definitely would expect them to be there. Especially if it is their car, they should be there to 100% verify all the insurance and registration needs. Plus, their kid just got into an accident. :| to the OP: hope you're alright!
Meh. They're both right. Your first car accident is a scary experience, and it's kinda nice to have someone be there for moral support. On the other hand, you wrecked your parents' car. You called to tell them, so you were obviously not hurt, so I'm sure your Dad didn't want you to ALSO wreck their DINNER. Sure, he could have been a little more sensitive, but I'm betting he was pretty pissed. When this happened to me, my g/f - who I had just taught to drive - crashed my car on her way home from work. I was a little irritated, but she was really shaken up and my insurance took care of most of the damage. (Naturally, she rear-ended some SUV which suffered a slight scratch compared to my destroyed front end.) So don't be too hard on your Dad. You're okay, and it's just a car.
My parents would do the same thing. They would also take my license, pay for the car damages, and pay for the differences in the new insurance costs. What do you want your dad to do about it? Snap his fingers and make it so it never happened. IMO your dad was being a saint about it. Im glad your okay though.
