How did it come to this?

Today, I had to say, "Put away your burrito," "That ruler is not a lightsaber," and, "Stop making dog noises" all in the same sentence at work. I teach Advanced Placement Calculus to high school seniors. FML

Can't beat em join em bring the microwave to nuke some burritos borrow a tv from the a/v lab watch star wars nd feed that barking ones some treats...as a teacher you get paid regardless wether they learn or not so make the best of those dumbasses they're the future of the world :D

One problem with that. They may get paid even if they don't learn anything, but if at least 75% of their students fail the end of the year test(s) they don't get to come back the next year. I would know my mom is a teacher.

That depends on the school. Maybe it's that way in public school, but not private. Believe me. Almost everyone in my precal class failed the finals and that class was the only D I'd ever gotten in high school and that prick is still there teaching.
