I want to know what events led up to this
Obviously bleeding. Need there be more?
I'm not sure why this was "inevitable". I'm female and I was under the impression (from my like fifteen years of experience with periods) that periods generally come every 28 days, give or take, and other than maybe some unexpected spotting inbetween, we generally know about when we will get them. This doesn't sound like spotting, this sounds like full blown heavy flow... Maybe it's just me who prepares ahead of time??
Some women have really irregular periods. Before I started taking the pill, I literally had no idea when my next one would be. And you say that "we generally know", meaning you don't know exactly when it's going to come. OP probably thought she *was* preparing ahead of time by carrying tampons with her. Unless your idea of preparing ahead of time is just constantly wearing a tampon...
@84 - 28 days give or take. But not all women have clockwork periods. And even for those that do, circumstances can cause early or late periods to occur. (ie: stress or illness)
This is why men need to by sympathetic towards women
Did anybody catch you though? I mean it sucks to be forced to be in that situation but it would be a lot worse to get caught doing it.
That was me one month ago.
Bloody Mary
Eww gross!
If OP was wearing a skirt it would be easy to do discreetly. Trousers would be a bit more difficult...

Natural bodily functions aren't gross but that doesn't mean they can't be unsanitary which is why people SHOULD wash their hands after dealing with bodily fluids whether it be blood, urine, or feces. It is, in fact, a health concern.
