How? Why?

Today, I was faced with the inevitable horrible circumstances which lead me to put in a tampon on a moving city bus. FML

Natural bodily functions aren't gross but that doesn't mean they can't be unsanitary which is why people SHOULD wash their hands after dealing with bodily fluids whether it be blood, urine, or feces. It is, in fact, a health concern.

I once had to do this but I was in a kohls dressing room with my father waiting for me to put a dress on.

That is beyond nasty. You are one ****** up individual. I do not understand how a person is that unaware of their own body functions...

according to fml you are a male. so you should read up on periods. you cannot control them like peeing, they just come suddenly. she should not have bled so much so quickly to where she couldn't wait to get off the bus though.

This male isn't the only one that should be reading more on periods....

119- Because, for some people, periods are very irregular to the point where you have no idea when the next one will be. It's not her fault that she's " so unaware of her own bodily functions", it's not like she can control her period. The timing was very unfortunate and if she could've waited until she got a bathroom, that's what she should have done but personally I'd much rather be on a bus with someone discretely putting a tampon in than on a bus with period blood all over the seats

Don't listen to these morons. She could have just waited. There is no goddamn excuse for doing that in public. I've had my own period accidents but I just let it go into my undergarments. I've never even contemplated doing something this disgusting. The one thing you should understand though is that sometimes it can hit unexpectedly, whether you know your body or not. And other times the tampon can fill up and start leaking unexpectedly. But again, no excuse for doing this.

And what, she's not wearing underwear or pants? It won't leak THAT much to get on the seats unless she's had it for hours already.

It's a possibility that she was wearing a skirt, in which case it could've easily leaked onto the seats. Underpants aren't that thick. I don't really see how I'm a moron for not wanting period blood on public bus seats.

You're a moron for thinking this is acceptable. As a woman who had been caught in a leaking situation, there are ways to make sure it won't get on a seat without doing this sick ******* shit.

And you're a horrible human who lacks basic empathy and understanding of other people's lives. It amazes me how many women here have little to no understanding that everyone's body is different and sometimes it is legitimately an emergency.

whoooooaaaa!! we need the full story for this post!

Meanwhile I get hated on for breastfeeding my daughter in public.

Though I almost always can tell when I'm going to get mine, I wish they were more regular, buuuttttt... they're not. The answer to that is to wear a menstrual cup. It can be worn anytime, anywhere, for as long as needed... just don't try to change it while on a bus! lol

ahhh just gotta love eve for eating that damn apple.

What the **** is wrong with you??? I'd rather leak blood into my undergarments than do a sick thing like that! You're disgusting!

I see your point but if I'd been on that bus I'd much rather have had OP discretely put a tampon in than have her bleed all over the seats

That sounds like some serious stealth, and probably a reasonable dress
