On a completely unrelated note are you considering moving across the country.
you clearly don't safe, so take the measurements so that you feel safe. this guy threatened you, stay safe x
you deserve a raise
Couldn't you of gone to HR and get your boss to do his own dirty work. Thats one of the reasons he's making more thn you. Stay safe ..hope it was just heat and nothing serious.
Well this sounds like a good time to get a new identity.
I wonder why it is that no one says nice things about their boss, perhaps since nice guys finish last all the douches always make it to the top.
Actually I've had some really awesome and nice bosses. It's just that you aren't likely to hear stories about a great boss, here on FML ;)
i love the phrase "spineless shitwhip". i learn things on here every day ?
Shitwhip, huh.
technically threatening someone is a form of assault, which is enough to set up a restraining order plus the person who made u do this you should report to their higher-ups. Also next time someone asks/tells you to do something which is not in your job description do not do it, you can't get in trouble if you have to you might sign a paper stating you refused to do this (or you refuse to sign a write-up) and your legally binding acceptable protected reason you write is "I was asked to perform duty/duties which are outside of my training and responsibilities". You won't get in trouble for refusing to do a job that's not yours, you won't get in trouble for refusing to sign a write-up as long as you write that reason. And if they threaten you then go over their heads to their bosses If your boss can't handle hiring/firing, they can always find someone else. Furthermore you should report the entire incident regardless to clarify any potential future problems before they happen its only a matter of time before it bites someone in the ass make sure its not yours. If you don't this could become a vicious cycle.

You could always file a police report or restraining order
Just file a police report if you start finding anything amiss
