It's even worse when they won't admit they want you back till you get your life back in order again. But I agree, give him time OP: Be there as a friend. It'll help you move on, and if a guy is willing to cry in front of you.. It usually means he really trusts/cares about you. Don't drop him completely when there's obviously something there.

I disagree. OP can always stay friends, but it's really silly and naief if she expects that this will grow to a decent relationship. This guy isn't over his girlfriend, OP is a rebound. Rebounds won't last in a serious relationship. So OP, just dump him as a boyfriend. He is not interested in you as a serious girlfriend, you're just there to make him less lonely.
