Improvise, adapt, overcome

By SomePeoplesKids - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - Canada - Okotoks

Today, I walked in on my daughter attempting to iron her pants with a hair straightener. She's 17. FML

Rather clever idea actually.

I do that all the time, it's great for shirt collars and around buttons!

That's using one object for two uses. There is nothing wrong with what she did, it's quick, simple and shouldn't be of concern for you.

Sure it's not efficient but it works... ?

If this is the same girl who used her facebook as her ID and duck faced in her driver licence, your daughter has some real problems.

I do that, im 16 :O It works ,, 'mom' (:

I don't think it's uncommon for people to do this if they're in a hurry. A lot of my friends will just use their hair straightener as opposed to buying an iron, an ironing board and all that since they don't have anything that actually needs ironed frequently enough to spend the money on that stuff. It works fine on their clothes.

People gotta do what people gotta do. :D

Hey, you have to improvise when you're in a pinch.
