#30 - I am a salary employee, and get paid bi-monthly. Just so you know.
Regulation E. If researching the incident takes longer than 10 days, the bank must issue a credit for the amount in question. Your bank must legally give you credit for the amount in dispute within 2weeks of the time you notify them. Most banks will give you that credit within a day or two. Definitely go back and do not accept the credit card. (It will take them a couple of weeks to get you the card anyway). Search your bank's website for a document called the Regulation E Disclosure (might be called the Electronic Funds Transfer Act Disclosure). That will tell you what they SHOULD be doing.
Thank you JSTX. Not to mention, you don't pay interest if you pay each bill off in full at the end of every month. SOOOO let's say you're not bullshitting and this FML really happened. Learn to budget. Only spend what is necessary, SO when you DO get your money back, you pay the card off IN FULL, cut the card up, and you pay no interest and lose no money.
#43 = responsibilioty has nothing to do with starting a savings account. Im responsible enough to have one and I put money in it whenever I can. That doesn't mean there is enough in there to get me through a month. Things happen. Dogs need to go to the vet, cars have issues, you get sick etc. Many times, something will happen that forces you to take money OUT of your savings account, depleting it. My dog had to have surgery. That meant I had to tap into my savings account because my paychecks are basically already allotted to monthly expenses. That doesn't make me irresponsible. That just makes me a responsible pet owner. So now, if THAT were to happent o me (albeit I understand credit cards and interest and haven't been in debt once in 25 years) I wouldn't be able to use my savings to get me through an entire month.
Thats not bad at all -,- the credit card woun't start charging intrest for a while and you'll get your money back in time to pay before intrest accumlates lame
Why do people say you deserve it to these types of things? I mean 300 people!
Thats ridiculous. Im pretty sure there is no more evil entity than the bank. All those farmers were right!
i put ydi, just because you don't have to pay interest if you pay it off in time.
