It's my new look

Today, I was in my room and I drew a Harry Potter lightning bolt on my forehead in eyeliner because it cheers me up. Then some friends came over, so we went out to get yogurt, and when I got back I realized the lightning bolt was still there. I'm in college. FML

As I read the Harry Potter books as a child, and then as an adult, and then to my children, all I could think was, "Man, I got ripped off. Where's my letter? " If you want to wear a lightening bolt to make you happy, do it. We all have impossible dreams of magic and splendor. Anyone who says they don't is either lying, or dead inside.

You're in college. You can say your friends started drawing on your face when they thought you were passed out, but you were just asleep. Or that you lost a bet and have to go out like that.

How is anyone who posts a comment on a site like this in any position to call someone who cheers up by drawing on themselves a loser? Do what you want to cheer up. As long as you aren't hurting anyone, it's cool.

And aside from getting into a long conversation that you probably wouldn't understand, #38, I do wonder how drawing a lightning bolt on your forehead has anything to do with survival of the fittest.
