It's not a phase, mom!

Today, I woke up to see that I had two black eyes from a cheerleading stunt gone wrong yesterday. I decided to curl my hair to distract from them. While curling my hair I accidentally burned my cheek. I now have two black eyes and a huge burn on my cheek. My extended family is coming tomorrow. FML

As a cheer coach I'm very interested to know how you got not one but TWO black eyes from a stunt. Sounds interesting... tell them the story and I'm sure they'd understand.

Clumsiness is hereditary. Tell 'em that! They'll understand

ok look all of you people who are saying that cheerleaders are skanks and that we suck, seriously need to stop. it's really offensive. FYL OP I know how that is.

hahah i dont think curling ur hair from the black eyes if its really that bad, besides girls these days wear so much make-up that they already look like they have black eyes...

I've cheered all my life and yes stuff like this could happen but only if you really don't know what your doing and yes I can say this being a level 6 open team member op u should really work on your skills and next time you won't get hurt just saying oh and if concealer could hide my fractured eye and nose I'm sure it'll do wonders on your bruises

yellow tends to cover darker spots. maybe try a yellow based primer where you were burned then put make up on top of it. it happens to everyone! I bet your hair looks pretty!

YDI for being a cheerleader and so shallow.

Ugh I know ALL about the pain cheerleading causes. I woke up with a black eye last week after an intense 5 hour cheer camp. The good news is foundation covered it up mostly. Nothing will really distract people from your black eye other than that. Also, to you people out there who STILL think cheerleaders are dumb and shallow; get out of the 90s. I have a 4.5 GPA and am in all Honors classes. And for the record: it's a sport. You have no idea how hard we work to be the only undefeated team in our town.
