Jumping the gun

By Storm - 23/09/2011 03:05 - Canada

Today, my boyfriend took me on a surprise date to an expensive restaurant. After the meal, he got down on his knee and proposed. We've only been dating for two weeks, so I said no. He just silently kept staring me in the eyes, no matter what I said or did. I ended up having to walk home. FML

My answer would have been no also, two weeks is too early for wedding proposals

Give the guy some credit, you're probably his first piece of arse. He has no clue what to do, he's automatically "in love" with the first chick that touches his tiny wiener. Just remember not to handle a virgin wiener unless you're prepared for a proposal.

The weiner isn't virgin, its just kosher.

Better than me. I propose on the first date the reactions are always priceless, if that doesn't scare you off then the relationship is worth pursuing. It always scares them off D: forever alone!!!

You can fall in love in 2 weeks also..You should have at least cared for his feelings...broke his heart...You are rude

Love should go Both ways for there to be a long lasting marriage. That's one reason why we even date so we can build up our emotions. And in the end it you either feel love or you feel like it isn't going to work out. She obviously didn't love him yet or at all. With some it's love at first sight with others they need time... She isn't rude for saying no Its better that she doesn't lead him on.

Um, what? Saying no to a proposal is rude? So people are obligated to accept any marriage proposal they receive no matter what? Yeah, it's awkward when someone rejects a proposal, but they absolutely have the right to do so, and anyone who thinks they can guilt someone into getting married is little more than human trash.

What took him so long? Three days is about the right amount of time to start planning a wedding. What's he been doing with that extra 11 days?

He wasn't serious, he was trying to get her attention. She spent the whole date on her cellphone.

I can't blame her. FML is hilarious!

Buddy Holly proposed on the FIRST date. But then again, he kicked major ass, so it turned out good for him, until that unfortunate airplane accident... :(

I bet this was his plan to break up with you without hurting your feelings :) he knew it would scare any normal girl away

He's probably trying to get you to commit before you find out about his child molestation convictions or gambling debts.
