Today, I read an article on babies dying after being accidentally left in cars in the sun. On my lunch break, I decided to walk around the parking lot, checking to see that no kids were abandoned in cars. A guy gave me a smack for looking through his car window. FML

It you SEE a baby in a car, call the police. Do not actively go in search of it. You are not a super hero, just annoying. I've read that people trapped in a fire can die; I do not go around looking for fires I can rescue people from. There are people who actually do that for a living. They are called "professionals".

...not so much. But reading an article on misplaced babies and then trying to find some on your lunch break? haha come on. I don't think that's exactly "community service"

It does not make me feel comforted or like someone is 'helping the community' by peeking in my car window. It makes me feel like they're trying to see if I left my purse... or my GPS... or oh look at that nice sound system in the brand new car! There are other more logical ways to help. Plus, I can see this person's next FML. 'Today I broke into someone's car to save the baby who was sitting inside from dying from overheating. The mother was 2 feet away and now I'm facing charges. FML.'

Or just peoples right to not have others looking into their property like that... The idiot deserves it for not only being stupid enough to do what they did but then following up on FML acting like the victim.

One thing is right about 48's comment though, even superheroes aren't stupid enough to go around randomly looking in everyones property trying to find someone doing the wrong thing, they only followed up on things they actually witnessed or knew about.

You're right, I think since I've heard a lot about robberies in my area I'm going to search everyone for weapons that I come across. What? You think this is not acceptable behaviour?! FINE. Why jump to extremes? Of course no one WANTS their baby to die; everyone is simply stating that OP probably looked suspicious. If you saw someone peering into your car, would you think "Oh, that nice citizen is just checking to make sure everything is alright"? No. You would wonder why the hell someone is creeping on your car.
