You know what they say, if you can't beat them, join them.;) it'll be useful if you learn some sort of self-defence. So why not? ;)

You should file a formal complaint with your land lord. Then write another formal letter stating you should receive a reduction in rent because when you signed your lease you didn't sign it understanding that there would be this type of living situation..
