Half these comments are ridiculous. The kid was probably asleep and was woken up. Just because you are a parent doesn't mean you should stop having sex until your kid moves out.

so... as far as I'm aware sex isn't illegal after you have a kid... although I may be mistaken.. but seriously the kid was probably supposed to be sleeping in the next room and mum got a little carried away. she had a little fun! big deal! not the end of the world and doesn't make her a bad mum.
