Get over yourself. "Stress" is just life. Everybody thinks they've got too much of it. You can't blame your not eating on "stress," because I can always find somebody who experiences more "stressful situations" than you, and doesn't stop eating because of it. If you don't eat it's your own goddamn fault, and if your fat, it's good for you. So STFU.
God, quit bitching. Parents are normal humans too, they joke just like everyone else does. I guess Mommy and Daddy need to teach you about the joys of sarcasm. FYL for being ignorant. YDI for taking them seriously. Wow I love you # 100!!! You are just so... right!
Keep up your light eating habits. Chances are you were eating too much prior to your stress problems. I'm not sure how tall you are, but 5'7 for a girl you should weigh about 110-120. Don't stuff yourself, and dont eat unless you're really hungry, you'll be thankful for it
huauhauaauha./.. this is funny, sounds like my parents. but since im used to it, who cares
#112... for a 5'7" the healthy weight range is 118 - 159, according to BMI measurements. :) i think BMIs are largely bs and take that with a grain of salt, but i would put a healthy weight range for a 5'7" woman at more like 120-130. varies for everyone tho. OP - sorry... i am sure your parents were either sarcastic or meant no harm, but even if you did need to lose a bit of weight, if they knew how hard on you it had been that way, they would be concerned. :( take care.
Exact same thing happened to me after I got laid off. Well, for me it was stress and lack of money for groceries.
LOL my dads like that too (doesn't eat when stressed) but I unfortunately eat to relieve stress/because I'm pissed off. It realllllly sucks :[

Maybe they weren't being totally serious? Either way, get on a healthy diet and start exercising. You'll thank yourself later in life when you're lean and healthy.
That's such a parental thing to say. My mom encouraged me to take diet pills when I was 12 and at a HEALTHY weight. I don't know why parents can be so judgmental about weight, my grandma is too. If I had kids, I would think they were beautiful no matter what, regardless of weight. And dear god, if they told me they were under a lot of stress I would help them immediately...I'm sorry your parents suck.
