Living for the weekend

Today, I was preparing for a huge party I've been looking forward to for months. I did all the usual things a girl should do, put on a facemask, painted my nails, exfoliated… I was feeling confident until I peeled off the facemask. I guess when it said "vibrant" what it meant was bright red. FML

You don't have to do that shit to get ready for a party. If you're hot you're hot, if you're not you're not. This stuff isn't going to help you in that realm.

Just pretend to be really embarrased all night.....

There's nothing wrong with choosing to do all that stuff, but saying that they're things that a 'girl should do' just pisses me off and makes me want to shake you or slap some sense into you or something. You shouldn't feel like you _have_ to do something like that just because you're female.

I could give you a facial that would be a party. If you want a huge party, that would be bukkake.

I wasn't aware that women under the age of 50 still used face masks. I usually just shower/bathe, put on some make-up, brush out my hair, and get dressed. I doubt any guy is going to comment on how nicely exfoliated your skin is and if he does then he's probably not the kind of guy you're hoping to impress.

Jeez, what do you think most girls do before they put their make up on and head out they do all the face stuff! Most people don't bring up in conversation, oh I put a mask on before I came, it's quite a common occurance for women to do this, I have it gives a smoother base to put make up on. Having said that though the masks I have put on have been ones I used before, but this woman may not normally have reactions to things so she thought she was fine.

Some girls don't even put on make up. Don't say most girls unless you have the data to back it.

YDI for not giving a new product a test run. Also for saying that these are things that girls "should" do. You don't owe anyone an apology for your grooming habits, but don't try to push them on others, either.

So this is what all girls SHOULD do? Thank you so much for telling me! All these years, I've been going to parties without having done a face mask! Give me a break. If that is how YOU like to get ready for something, fine, but don't say that all girls SHOULD do something. Actually, I take that back. You know what all girls should REALLY do? Test all new skin/make up products to make sure you don't have a bad reaction! Common sense, really. I have zero sympathy for you, and I hope you never reproduce. Hmm...for some reason, I have that song from Grease in my head. The one that goes, "Beauty school drop out, go back to high school..." Odd. :)

Wow, way to freak out over the word "should".

See, I was going to say FYL until I realised you said 'should do' not 'would do.' Basically you're saying all women should subject themselves to unnecessary beauty rituals to attempt to look 'pretty.' You disgust me. YDI.

I'm not gonna get caught up on semantics like many others did and say you deserve it simply because you said that it's what girls SHOULD do. I mean, in that respect it would be implying all girls should come out lobster red. Slap on some makeup, hope no one notices, and if anyone does, you have a good story.

Whether you meant "should" do or "would" do, YDI. Everyone should know to try new products at least a week before an event in case your skin reacts badly.
