You shouldn't exfoliate RIGHT before an event. Even if you didn't get all red, it still brings out all impurities to the surface so you break out before it clears up. >.

I don't even get facials, and even I know you should get them done at LEAST two or three days in advance.

Uhhh... Just one question... Why would the face mask thats supposed to help your skin turn it bright red? Maybe because the only face mask I ever used was the Pro-Active Refining Mask (aka faliure) that just washes off with water, but it doesn't make sense to me. Also, I suggest facial cleansers. Easier, and less annoying. And unless your allergic to them, this doesn't normally happen.
