Living for the weekend

Today, I was preparing for a huge party I've been looking forward to for months. I did all the usual things a girl should do, put on a facemask, painted my nails, exfoliated… I was feeling confident until I peeled off the facemask. I guess when it said "vibrant" what it meant was bright red. FML

You don't have to do that shit to get ready for a party. If you're hot you're hot, if you're not you're not. This stuff isn't going to help you in that realm.

Just pretend to be really embarrased all night.....

You shouldn't face mask right before a party, and you certainly shouldn't do it with something you hadn't tried right before...stress less about how you look and just try to get into a skin routine of cleansing and toneing if you have bad skin. Also, don't wear foundation! You didn't say you were going to put on makeup over the top, but just wearing some mascara and lip gloss/stick should be all you need to look good and not ruin your skin.

Just show up at the party late, give everyone time to get there drunk on and nobody will notice your bright red face

we're all missing the point here. ...Pussy ain't got no face.

YDI for two things: YDI for thinking every girl SHOULD do all that. And YDI for using a face mask you'd never used before while getting ready for something important.

every girl should know not to do a face mask on the day. do it the day before to let any redness go away.

thats why I always try the mask for my face way beforehand to make sure nothing goes wrong. And ppl who say that girls don't need to do this....It's called pampering yourself. It's fun.

We don't need to pamper ourselves... I wouldn't find putting gloop on my face and sitting still fun. You know what's fun? Quazar and sparing and rollercoasters.

YDI for trying so hard, but sorry to welcome to the sensitive-skin girls club! It can suck, lol.

Few people put that much effort in. YDI, every girl should know that you do not try out anything (products, hairstyles, facial masks, etc) on the day of any big event. Try it weeks or longer in advance, so you know if it has any negative effects, or if it suits you, etc.

How about not worrying beyond taking a shower?

Putting on makeup isn't fake, it's accentuating your natural features and disguising the features that aren't so pleasant. That's not fake, it's accentuating. That's what makeup is made to do.

I mean yes. But when you wake up beside a guy and he doesn't recognise you from the night before it's kind of a lie, and then she'll probably say: "He doesn't like me for who I am!" Well that's because you were in disguise
