Love-hate sibling relationship

Today, my obese sibling snored loudly during a TV show. I swear, if it's not anime or a violent film he likes, he just goes to sleep. But then he's up all night, eating and playing video games while I'm trying to sleep. I can't keep working like an exhausted zombie all the time but I get in trouble when if I say anything. FML

Why do you say sibling instead of brother? It's weird.

Don’t expect your sibling to like the same things as you. People have different interests - Otherwise the world would be a boring place… But it’s reasonably not to be happy with loud snoring when you are trying to watch a favorite show. A considerate sibling would just go to bed instead of snoring in the TV room. I assume you’re tried waking him before when he snores and didn’t get any good results from that… Many newer TV’s have Bluetooth out capabilities which could let you listen with a Bluetooth headphone or earbuds. Many older TV’s have a headphone Jack that can be used with old fashioned headphones. And then again, you could move away from sleeping beauty and turn up the sound.

Fatphobic to mention him being obese when it has nothing to do with the FML. Definitely work on that in yourself after you cut him out of your life for harming your own mental health. If you're a kid who's living with their parents, document it. If they don't do anything about it, tell somebody else. I say this assuming that you've already sat down with your brother and tried to speak with him about it.

Yes it does have something to do with it. As a previously fat person, sleep apnea and snoring go hand in hand. He either needs to lose weight, or find a medical device for it. My dad is 350lbs and can wake up the dead. When i dropped before 200 (lymes disease is still a bitch) my snoring stopped. Each time i lost weight in my life, below 200, i still having breathing issues. If you think the fat outside their chest is a lot, it’s almost the same amount under, competing with your organs for space. Stop trying to legitimize a horrible endemic affecting our society.

Not sure what your sibling's weight has to do wit hit... would this be acceptable behavior if he weren't obese?
